Women's volleyball team loses at Fullerton

The Irvine Valley women's volleyball team had problems with Fullerton the first time the two teams met a few weeks ago in Irvine.
The Lasers won, but it was in four tough games.
IVC would take that result today.
The Lasers dropped their second match of the season, losing to Fullerton in five games Friday night in an Orange Empire Conference match at Fullerton.
The Hornets earned the 25-20, 20-25, 20-25, 25-20, 15-12, by rallying to take the final two games.
Irvine Valley's record slipped to 11-2 overall and 7-2 in conference.
The Lasers slipped into second place in the conference standings, a game behind first-place Orange Coast. The Pirates swept at Golden West on Friday night to improve to 14-1 and 8-1.
In Fullerton on Friday, IVC was hurt by hitting just .214 as a team and making nine serving errors.
IVC's top three attackers hit just .170, .222 and .208 in the match.
The Lasers were led by Katie Wilkerson, who finished with 16 kills and 16 digs. Ellie Wiekamp added 13 kills and Hillary Crone and Caitlin Segert each had 10 kills.
Carly Loucks chipped in seven blocks, Nichole May finished with 23 digs and two aces, Alyssa Swatek had 12 digs and Allie Hammer ended with 44 assists and 11 digs.
Irvine Valley plays again on Wednesday, hosting Santa Ana at 6 p.m. in a conference match.
