Women's volleyball team falls at Moorpark

The Irvine Valley women's volleyball team lost in four games to Moorpark, 25-20, 25-13, 21-25, 25-20, in a non-conference match on the road on Wednesday.
The defeat snapped a two-match win streak for IVC.
Freshman Casey Williams led the way for the Lasers with 14 kills. Freshman Kesley Hall and sophomore Mar Guadagnini each added nine kills. But the Lasers hit just .230 as a team in the contest.
Freshman Nichole May had a team-high 16 digs and freshman Allie Hammer finished with 35 assists for Irvine Valley.
So far on the season, Williams is averaging 3.00 kills per game, Guadagnini is averaging 2.39 kills per game, freshman Carly Loucks is hitting .438 and Hall is .434. May is averaging 3.67 digs per game and Hammer is averaging 9.22 assists.
The Lasers are back home on Friday, hosting San Diego City in a non-conference match at 5 p.m.
San Diego City is undefeated so far this year. The Knights’, who are made up of all freshman players, have defeated Rio Hondo in five games and swept both Santa Ana and Mt. San Jacinto.
