The Orange Empire Conference coaches selected Irvine Valley sophomore outside hitter Chelsea Pavlik as the conference's Most Valuable Player for 2007.

Pavlik had 412 kills during the regular season and averaged 5.8 kills per game in conference competition to lead the Lasers to a 14-0 conference record and conference title.

Pavlik went on to break the school record for kills in a season with 463. She averaged 5.86 kills per game and also averaged 3.57 digs and .67 aces per game. She led the team in both digs and aces.
Pavlik also hit .342 on the season.

Joining Pavlik on the all-conference team were IVC first team selections Kelly Keating and Camryn Torromeo.

Keating, a sophomore setter, had 979 assists on the season (12.39 per game) and Torromeo, a freshman, averaged 1.63 kills, 1.85 digs and .65 aces per game.
Torromeo, who was a setter in high school, earned those numbers playing outside hitter for the Lasers.

Named to the all-conference second team for Irvine Valley was freshman outside Mari Guadagnini.
Guadagnini was second on the IVC squad in kills with 215. She averaged 2.72 kills and 1.30 digs per game.

IVC sophomore middle blocker Jessica Flood was picked as an honorable mention selection for the Lasers.
Flood averaged 2.75 kills, .67 blocks and hit a team-best .364 on the year.

IVC's coaching staff, made up of head coach Tom Pestolesi and assistant coaches Jay Hosack and Ki Yi, was also picked as the conference Coach of the Year.
Pestolesi chose to share the honors with his two assistant coaches.

Irvine Valley finished the season with a record of 22-1 overall. The Lasers were ranked No. 1 in the state for half of the season. They dropped their first game in the Southern California Regional final, one step away from the state championships, losing to College of the Canyons in five games.
