Women's volleyball team caps perfect regular season with sweep at OCC

The Irvine Valley women's volleyball team completed its first ever undefeated regular season with a 30-28, 30-24, 30-27 Orange Empire Conference win at Orange Coast Wednesday night.
The Lasers, who are ranked No. 1 in the state, improved their record to 21-0 overall and 14-0 in conference.
Irvine Valley begins the Southern California Regional Playoffs next Tuesday. The Lasers will have a home match on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Pairings for the playoffs will be released this weekend.
The Lasers defeated Orange Coast in four games the first time the teams met at IVC. Thursday night's win came a little easier.
IVC was led by sophomore outside hitter Chelsea Pavlik. She finished with 17 kills and nine digs. Pavlik, who led the Lasers in kills in all 21 matches this season, increased her school record for most kills in a season to 412.
Sophomore middle blocker Jessica Flood added eight kills and three aces, freshman outside hitter Camryn Torromeo had seven kills and three aces and freshman middle blocker Katie Pascoe recorded six blocks.
Sophomore setter Kelly Keating contributed 38 assists.
