The Irvine Valley women's and men's tennis team returned home from Hawaii on Monday.
The teams played in the 82nd Oahu Public Parks Open Tournament last week and had some positive results.
IVC's Emily Davies reached the women's singles final and the IVC men's doubles team of Huy Nguyen and Jet Tabu reached the doubles final.
Neither Davies the team of Nguyen and Tabu were able to compete for titles because finals were rained out on Sunday. It was the only day of rain the IVC team's saw during their six-day stay.
Other results of note included Lindsay Baecker losing in the women's singles semifinals and the team of Carli Churm and Ashley Katnik falling in the women's doubles semifinals.
Nguyen made it to the singles semifinals on the men's side.
The Laser teams take on Orange Coast on Thursday (men home and women on the road) and then compete in the Orange Empire Conference finals next week.
The men's tournament will be held at Riverside College and the women's event will be at Saddleback College.
