Women's golf team holds lead at So. Cal. Regionals

The Irvine Valley women's golf team handled the cold and the wind in Desert Hot Springs Monday morning to take the lead on the first day of the Southern California Regionals at Desert Dunes.
The temperature was 55 degrees with a cool wind blowing at the 7:30 a.m. shotgun tee time.
Irvine Valley led with a score of 355. Next was Santiago Canyon at 356, Santa Barbara at 360, Palomar at 367, College of the Canyons at 377 and Long Beach City at 391.
The medalist was IVC freshman and Orange Empire Conference player of the year Felicia Titus with an 81 on the par 72 links style course.
Play continues Tuesday morning. The top two teams from the regionals advance to play at Olivas Links in Ventura next week for the state championship.
