Coach Ben Burnett is a winner of multiple conference coach of the year awards at Irvine Valley. He has produced competitive golf squads, utilizing a philosophy of recruiting, rather than tryouts for players. His goal for women's golf at IVC is to have a program that is recognized as one of the best in Southern California. Burnett believes that goal can happen in the very near future. The women's team at Irvine Valley has won a conference championship, played in the Southern California Regionals and State Finals events and Burnett has helped send numerous players on to four-year schools to continue their golf careers.
