Jenna Schonfeld named first team all-conference

Irvine Valley women's basketball player Jenna Schonfeld was named first team all-Orange Empire Conference recently.
Schonfeld averaged 11.0 points a game for the Lasers, which was second best on the team. She also averaged 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game.
She scored in double figures in 17 games with her season high being 25 points against Santa Ana on Jan. 18. She made 6 of 9 three-pointers in that game versus Santa Ana, which IVC won, 76-70.
The 5-8 sophomore guard helped the Lasers to an 18-13 overall record and 7-7 mark in conference this season and a trip to the Southern California Regional Playoffs.
IVC lost in the first round of the playoffs at Ventura, 86-37, last week.
Orange Coast's Courtney Ford was named conference player of the year and Orange Coast's Mike Thornton was named the conference's coach of the year.
