Women's basketball player Emily Luckeroth signs with Kansas Wesleyan

Irvine Valley College women's basketball coach Julie Hanks announced that sophomore guard/forward Emily Luckeroth has signed with Kansas Wesleyan University.
Kansas Wesleyan is a NAIA Division 2 school.
The 5-9 Luckeroth, started for the Lasers for two seasons and was a team captain her sophomore season. Luckeroth started 24 of 28 games last season. She averaged 12.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.0 steals a game. Luckeroth averaged 12.4 ponits, 6.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists during Orange Empire Conference play.
She was second on the team in scoring, second on the team in rebounding and led the squad in both steals and assists. Luckeroth also scored in double figures in 20 games. She had two double-doubles (points and rebounds), including a 15-point and 16-rebound effort in an 86-82 victory over Riverside.
Luckeroth had a season-high 39 points in Irvine Valley's 94-66 victory over Golden West on Jan. 24, 2007. The point total was a school record, eclipsing Luckeroth's own mark (35 points) from the 2005-06 season.
In her two-year career at IVC, Luckeroth averaged 9.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
Luckeroth helped the Lasers finish with a record 11-17 overall in the 2006-07 season.
Luckeroth is headed to a Kansas Wesleyan team that finished this past season with an 11-19 record, including a four-game winning streak at the end of the season before falling to Ottawa in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinals.
