Men's tennis team dominates Fullerton

The Irvine Valley men's tennis team played maybe its best match of the season Thursday afternoon.
The Lasers easily took care of Fullerton, 8-1, on the road in an Orange Empire Conference match.
Irvine Valley didn't drop a singles match and won five of the six in straight sets.
The lone set it dropped came in doubles and that was when the IVC team retired.
In singles, Chad Sigler had no problem in the No. 1 spot. He won, 6-0, 6-1.
Brain Lee (6-2, 6-1), Nikolas Katigbak (6-1, 6-1), Taira Ishikura (6-2, 6-0) and Emmanuel Samoy (7-5, 6-2) won in straight sets in the No. 2 through No. 5 singles positions.
And at No. 6 singles, Christopher Truong out-lasted his opponent in three sets, winning, 7-5, 5-7, 6-0.
In doubles, the teams of Katigbak and Ishikura won, 8-2, at the No. 2 spot and the team of Truong and Samoy won, 8-4, at the No. 3 position.
Irvine Valley improved its record to 4-5 overall and 2-4 in conference play.
The Lasers don't play again until March 24 when they host Cypress at 2 p.m.
