Men's tennis team records program's 150th win

The Irvine Valley men's tennis team earned the 150th victory in program history Wednesday afternoon.
The match went down to the wire with Irvine Valley pulling out a 5-4 win over Fullerton in an Orange Empire Conference match at home.
In singles, Filipe Mendes defated Luciano Rodriguez, 6-2, 6-1, at the No. 2 position, Jehnenric Tabu beat mark Marukian, 6-4, 6-0, in the No. 4 spot, Brandon Myers defeated David Turner, 6-0, 6-0, at the No. 5 position and Tony Ly came back from a set down to beat Ryan Armstrong, 6-7, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.
Fullerton won matches at No. 1 and No. 3 singles. IVC's Peter Hasrouni lost at the No. 3 position, 6-7, 6-4, 6-1, to Kamal Malouf.
Fullerton scored victories in the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches, but Irvine Valley got a win at No. 3 doubles from Alvin Lo and Hasrouni. The duo defeeated Turnver and Marukian, 8-5, for the winning point.
Irvine Valley improved its record to 5-2 overall and 1-2 in conference.
