The Irvine Valley men's tennis team got back to .500 with a win in Orange Empire Conference play on Thursday afternoon.
Even bigger, the Lasers earned that win over rival Saddleback, 5-4.
It was Irvine Valley's third-straight victory over the Gauchos. Irvine Valley beat Saddleback both times in conference play last season.
The Lasers won four of six sets in singles and one of three in doubles to pull off the victory on Thursday.

The Lasers lost two of three doubles sets, but picked up the fifth point they needed for the overall win when Saddleback had to default at No. 3 doubles.
Irvine Valley improved its record to 7-3 overall and 3-3 in conference. It has next week off for spring break and plays again on Tuesday, March 20, hosting Riverside at 2 p.m.
