Men's soccer team comes up short at Fullerton

The Irvine Valley men's soccer team dropped its second straight match to open Orange Empire Conference play, falling to Fullerton, 4-3, last Friday at Fullerton.
The Lasers held a 2-1 lead at halftime after getting goals from Francisco Hernandez off an assist from Luis Miguel and Andy Martinez off a pass from Francisco Hernandez, but IVC couldn't hold on.
Luis Miguel scored Irvine Valley's lone goal in the second half off a Hernandez assist in the loss.
Irvine Valley will try for its first conference victory on Tuesday when it takes on Orange Coast at home at 3 p.m. The game is part of a doubleheader with the IVC women's team. The Laser women face Santiago Canyon at 1 p.m.
