Men's soccer team slips up at Santiago Canyon

The Irvine Valley men's soccer team slipped back into fourth place in the Orange Empire Conference standings after a 2-1 loss at Santiago Canyon on Tuesday.
The Lasers fell behind in the first half, 2-0.
IVC’s goal in the second half came from freshman forward Allen Villa, which was his team-leading eighth of the season.
Laser goalie Mikhail Radchuk had three saves in the contest.
IVC is in fourth in the conference standings with 18 points.
Santa Ana is in first with 26 points, Fullerton is in second with 23 points and Orange Coast sits third with 21 points.
The Lasers (8-8-2, 6-5-0) are on the bubble right now for a playoff spot. They have three games left this season, Friday at home against Golden West, on the road next Tuesday at Santa Ana and then home next Friday against Riverside.
Golden West, which IVC takes on this Friday at 1 p.m., is in seventh place in the standings with five points.
The Rustlers fell to 4-11-3 overall and 1-8-1 in conference after a 6-0 loss to Orange Coast on Tuesday.
GWC is led by Austin Rovazzinni, who has six goals and four assists on the season.
