Men's soccer team wins big at Golden West

The Irvine Valley College men's soccer team kept its hopes for an Orange Empire Conference title alive on Tuesday night with a 5-0 win at Golden West.
Scoring details were not immediately available.
Irvine Valley improved its record to 14-3-3 overall and 10-1-2 in conference. The Lasers remained two points behind Santa Ana for first place in conference with one game to play.
That game is a big one. Irvine Valley hosts Santa Ana on Friday at 3 p.m. with the title on the line.
Santa Ana defeated Orange Coast on Tuesday, 6-0, to improve to 11-1-1 in conference.
A victory on Friday and the Lasers will gain three points in the standings and capture the conference title. If the match is tied Santa Ana holds on to first place and will win the title.
Santa Ana knocked off Irvine Valley, 2-0, early this season at Santa Ana.
Irvine Valley has a record of 5-1-1 since that time and has outscored opponents, 20-4, including, 9-0, in the last two games.
