Men's soccer team pulls out win at Fullerton

The Irvine Valley men’s soccer team stayed tied for first place in the Orange Empire Conference with a tough 2-1 victory over Fullerton on the road last Friday.
Freshman Taylor Campbell scored in the 90th minute off a pass from sophomore Casey Cordray to lift Irvine Valley to the win.
The Lasers took a 1-0 lead in the opening 15 minutes on a goal by freshman Luis Miguel. It was Miguel’s team-leading 10th goal of the season.
Fullerton tied the game, 1-1, with a goal just before halftime.
Irvine Valley freshman goalie Jesus Olivera made two saves in the win.
The Lasers improved their record to 12-3-2 overall and 8-1-1 in conference. Irvine Valley and Santa Ana entered this week’s action with 25 points each in conference.
Orange Coast was in third place with 15 points. The Lasers play host to Orange Coast on Tuesday at 3 p.m. and Santiago Canyon Friday at 1 p.m.
