Men's soccer team wins fourth in a row

The Irvine Valley men's soccer team won its fourth straight match on Tuesday afternoon, beating Santiago Canyon College, 2-0, on the road in an Orange Empire Conference contest.
It was Santiago Canyon's fourth straight loss.
After a scoreless first half, the Lasers (8-2-2, 4-0-1) went ahead, 1-0, in the 73rd minute as freshman Mark Skillin was able to beat freshman goalkeeper Carson Hedrick one-on-one after getting past the SCC defense. Freshman forward Luis Miguel earned the assist on the play.
Freshman Roberto Linck gave IVC a 2-0 lead in the 85th minute as he made a move in front to find the net from 10 yards. Freshman midfielder Ryan Borunda set up the play.
Hedrick finished with five saves in goal for the Hawks (3-7-2, 1-4-0).
Jesus Olivera had to make just one save in goal for the Lasers.
Irvine Valley, which entered the week in first place in the conference standings, hosts Golden West on Friday at 3 p.m. in another conference match.
