Irvine Valley men's golfers Adam Ruppert and Daniel Neben have qualified for the Orange Empire Conference Championships.

The 36-hole in one day competiton will be played Monday, April 27 at Los Serranos in Chino Hills. Both the North and South courses will be used.

Start time is 7 a.m.

Sixteen golfers will be trying to capture one of the four individual spots to move on to the Southern California Regionals based on total strokes used for the season, including conference finals.

And one additional golfer will advance to the regionals. That spot will go the the individual who has the best 36-hole score from among the 12 individuals who did not finish in the top four seasonal scoring competition.

"Adam Ruppert has a chance to finish in the top four," IVC Coach Ben Burnett said. "And both Daniel Neben and Adam also will be competing for the one best of the rest spot."

Burnett said Neben looked good on Monday in a practice round at Los Serranos, shooting 4 under par on the South course.
