The Irvine Valley men's golf team's fell short against host Saddleback in a Orange Empire Conference match on Monday at Tijeras Creek.

Irvine Valley finished with a score of 393. Saddleback shot 369.

Saddleback also upset Cuyamaca and Palomar in the match.

Freshman Sylvain Debiais' 4 over par score of 76 paced IVC. He had two birdies, 11 pars, four bogeys and one double bogey.

Debiais played the last 11 holes at 1 under par.

Daniel Neben's score of 78 was the result of struggling on his first three and last three holes. Neben played the middle 11 holes at 1 under par.

Freshman Joseph Filia shot a score of 79. His round ended with a triple bogey when he hit his tee shot out of bounds. He had played the previous nine holes at even par.

Adam Ruppert and Joe Chun both shot scores of 80.

IVC ends the regular season match schedule on Wednesday with a home contest at Oak Creek against Orange Coast, Palomar and Riverside.

Ruppert, Neben and Deviais are still in the hunt to qualify as individuals for the conference finals.
