Men's golf team takes 10th at Rio Hondo Invitational

The Irvine Valley men's golf team followed up a victory in its own IVC Invitational early last week with a 10th-place finish in the Art Teixeira Rio Hondo Invitational.
Twenty-one schools competed in the invitational, which took six hours because of rain.
Daniel Neben paced IVC with a score of 76. Joe Chun was next at 78 and Adam Ruppert finished at 79.
Also for Irvine Valley, Joey Fuscardo came in at 81, Alex Kim finished at 83, Dane Thomas was at 87 and Joseph Filia and Sylvain Debiais carded 88.
Santa Barbara won the event with a score of 374. Palomar and Santiago Canyon tied for second at 376 and Orange Coast was fourth at 384.
IVC finished with a score of 394 for 10th. The Lasers were just one stroke behind Mt. SAC for ninth.
At the IVC Invitational, the Lasers were pace by Chun's score of 74.
Neben finished at 76, Fuscardo and Kim each came in at
78, Ruppert finished at 80, Debiais carded a 83 and Filia had a score of 85.
