The Irvine Valley men's golf team posted four scores of 76, plus a 77 and a 78 in an Orange Empire Conference match against Cypress on Monday at the Navy Course in Cypress.
The team's score of 381 was better than Riverside (415) or Santiago Canyon (389), but the Lasers were not heads up against those teams.
Cypress, the host school, came in at 366 to beat IVC. Cypress picked up three wins, also defeating Riverside and Santiago Canyon.
For the Lasers, Drew Exon, Cole Fisher, Adam Ruppert and Jody Clark each had scores of 76.
Dominik Pietschmann came in at 77 and Aaron Levine finished at 78.
Cypress' Raj Samra shot a one under par 71 to earn medalist honors.
Irvine Valley takes on Orange Coast on Wednesday at the Santa Ana Country Club. It is the second to last match of the regular season for the Lasers. They finish up with a match at Palomar on Monday, April 14.
