"The Tee Off Classic has often been a good indicator of the strength of each team, in our conference," Irvine Valley Coach Ben Burnett said. "I am pleased with the talent and attitude of the players on this year's IVC team. I expect us to improve as the season goes on.
"The players are working hard to learn to incorporate strategy and better course management into their game. And I expect us to be competitive in this best community college golf conference in the United States.
"Our goal will be to earn our way into the Conference Finals and the Southern California Regional Community College Championships, thus giving us a chance to have the team or individuals from our team compete in the California Community College State Championships."
