Men's basketball team wins final regular season game

Irvine Valley wrapped up the regular season with a 90-74 Orange Empire Conference victory over Saddleback Friday night at home.
It was IVC's third straight victory. All were easy.
The team defeated Santa Ana by 33 points and Cypress by 29 points before the 16-point win over the Gauchos.
Irvine Valley improved its record to 26-4 overall and 10-2 in conference and secured second place in the final conference standings.
The Lasers, who were ranked 11th in the state, got 18 points from both Kashif Watson and Jeff Ledbetter in the victory. Watson also had six rebounds.
Blake Wallace added 12 points and 12 rebounds, Franklin Session had 10 points, Bryce Webster finished with nine points and La'Shard Anderson contributed eight points and seven assists for IVC.
The Lasers led by as many as 28 points in the second half.
Irvine Valley was to find out its seeding for the Southern California Regional Playoffs on Monday afternoon. The team is expected to be one of the top eight seeds and should open with a home game on Friday night.
"It was a good end to the season," IVC Coach Jerry Hernandez said of the win over Saddleback. "We are playing well right now and are looking forward to the playoffs. We have a chance this year to go a long way."
