Irvine Valley had a 5-0 lead after scoring two runs in the top of the sixth inning, but the Lasers couldn’t hold on.
El Camino scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth, two in the seventh and one in the ninth.
Gerhardt took the loss for IVC and El Camino reliever Adam Fernandez got the victory. Fernandez pitched two scoreless innings to close out the game. He gave up one hit and struck out one.
Irvine Valley was led by Robbie Robinson, who went 3 for 4 with a double and three runs scored and Alonzo Vasquez, who went 2 for 4 with two RBI.

The Warriors went up, 3-1, in the top of the seventh. Daniel Gleiberman led off with a double. He was sacrificed to third and scored two batters later on a single by Joe Morgan.
The Lasers tried to rally in the bottom of the eighth inning. They loaded the bases with no outs on a single by Sean Williams, a hit batter and a walk.
But the Lasers could only get one run across in the inning and that came on a two-out single by Anthony Gutierrez.
