The Irvine Valley College women's badminton team picked up two more wins last week.
The Lasers, who are the three-time defending state champion, had no problem in shutting out their sixth opponent this season, defeating Santa Ana, 21-0.
Irvine Valley's No. 1 player Lili Zhou, No. 2 player Grace Peng and No. 3 player Yuki Nakagawa each gave up just one point in winning two matches apiece.
Irvine Valley received its toughest challenge of the season in its other match.
But the Lasers still won 10 of 12 singles matches and three of five doubles matches in a 16-5 victory over San Diego City. Irvine Valley was also without its top player Lili Zhou.
Irvine Valley No. 3 player Stephanie Tran gave up just six points in two singles wins against San Diego City.
The Lasers have now won 54 matches in a row over the last four seasons. Irvine Valley goes for number 55 on Friday at Grossmont.
