Former standout Irvine Valley College badminton player Eva Lee will be competing for the United States in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
Lee is playing in three Olympic events:
women's singles, women's doubles (with Mesinee Mangkalakiri) and mixed
doubles (with 2004 Olympian and 2005 World Champion Howard Bach).
She is the daughter of David and Catherine Lee and was born in Hong Kong. In 2004, Lee graduated from Villa Park High.
In 2006, Lee played college badminton at Irvine Valley and she dominated, winning state singles and doubles titles.
Then in 2007, Lee claimed women's singles and doubles and mixed double gold medals in Rio de Janeiro at the Pan Am Games.
She is currently attending the
UC Irvine.
Lee enjoys listening to music and
watching television when she is not practicing or playing badminton.
