Irvine Valley College badminton players once again dominated the Orange Empire Conference finals.
Two Irvine Valley players met for the conference singles title and an IVC team won the doubles crown.
Eva Lee defeated teammate Yuki Nakagawa for the title in singles. Yuma Nishigaki finished eighth for the Lasers in the singles competition.
In doubles, Lee teamed with Nakagawa for the doubles title. Lee and Nakagawa defeated the team of Jenny Chau and Cecilia Do of San Diego City in the final.
Lee and Nakagawa move on to play in the state individual finals tournament this Friday at Pasadena City College. Lee is expected to be the top-seeded player and Lee and Nakagawa should be among the top doubles seeds.
San Diego City will be the favorite to win the state team title. San Diego City moved on as the top team from Southern California after defeating Irvine Valley twice this season. Irvine Valley had won four straight state team titles.
