Irvine Valley College won its fourth straight women's badminton title at the California Community College championship held on the campus of Fresno City College.

The Lasers defeated Skyline College 18-3. It marked the third time Skyline has lost to IVC in the championship match in the last four years. The Trojans also lost to San Diego Mesa in 2001 making it four loses in five tries.

The win was the Irvine Valley program’s 59th dating back four seasons.
