The origins of the program reach back to 1990 when athletics was founded and the Lasers became a member of the Orange Empire Conference (OEC), the nation’s best community college conference. It only took that first season to establish a sense of competitive excellence at Irvine Valley as the men’s soccer team won the school's first conference title. Since that time, IVC has captured 10 national championships, 12 state crowns and 22 conference titles.
Our success is squarely rooted in three areas of excellence: The staunch support of the college administration, an extraordinary staff and the exceptional level of talent we’ve been able to attract in our student-athletes.
In addition, the sense of integrity we demand is apparent in every phase of the program, including our commitment to rules compliance and equal opportunity for all students.

Irvine Valley College Intercollegiate Athletics is committed to providing leadership, resources and an environment that allows student-athletes to succeed at the conference, regional and state levels.
