The Lasers played a near perfect second half to defeat Cuyamaca, 89-47, on Wednesday at home.
Irvine Valley improved its record to 4-1 on the season.
Sophomore forward Zach Mills finished with a game-high 23 points for IVC.
Freshman guard Shaquille Hunter and sophomore forward Michael Bolden each added 18 points.
Hunter hit four three-pointers. As a team, Irvine Valley made 14 three-pointers in the contest.
The Lasers led, 40-27, at halftime and then out-scored the Coyotes, 49-19, in the second half.
Hunter had 10 of his 18 points in the second half and Mills and freshman forward Sean Witzcak each had eight points in the second half.
Ten players scored for IVC in the game.
Irvine Valley, which was coming off winning the consolation title of its own tournament last weekend, next heads to the Monterey Peninsula Tournament starting Thursday. IVC opens against Hartnell.
