Irvine Valley's women's golf team made it look easy at the Orange Empire Conference finals.
The Lasers won the event on Wednesday, beating the closest team by 71 strokes.
Irvine Valley, which is unbeaten and ranked No. 1 in the state, shot a two-day, 36-hole score of 616 on the par 74 North Course at Los Serranos in Chino Hills.
Runner-up Saddleback finished with a score of 687.
Irvine Valley sophomore Sally Kim earned medalist honors on Wednesday with a 36-hole total score of 3 over par 151. She shot 76 in Monday's round and finished at 75 on Wednesday.
And Irvine Valley sophomore Kate Cho won the conference scoring title by just one stroke over Kim. Season total scores were calculated with two scores thrown out. Cho ended at 599 and Kim came in at 600.
In a vote by coaches, Cho and Kim shared the Orange Empire Conference player of the year honors.
It was the second straight conference player of the year award for Kim.
In all, four Irvine Valley players were named first team all-conference. They were Cho, Kim, sophomore Halle Young and freshman Vanessa Honnes.
Freshmen Taylor Shweiki and Shaiyana Sam were each chosen to the second team all-conference list.
Irvine Valley now gears up for the Southern California Regionals, which are next week at San Luis Rey Downs in Bonsall in San Diego County.
