Women's golfer places 10th at state

Sally KimIrvine Valley freshman women's golfer Sally Kim capped an impressive freshman season by placing tied for 10th at the State Championships last week.
The two-day championships were held at King Country Club in Hanford.
Kim had already captured the Orange Empire Conference player of the year title.
She was tied for sixth place with a score of 80 on the par 72 course after the first day of competition. Kim finished up with a round of 83 to post a total of 163 (19 over par).
Kim was a part of an IVC team that went undefeated to win a conference title and then finished third at the Southern California Regionals.
She is expected to help lead the team along with fellow freshman players Halle Young and Toni Honnes next season.
