For the second time in Orange Empire Conference play, the Irvine Valley men's soccer team scored two goals in the final 10 minutes of a game to pull out a victory.
The first time came in a 3-2 come from behind win at Riverside on Oct. 26.
The Lasers did it again on Tuesday, rallying with two goals in the final six minutes to win at Golden West, 3-2.
Freshman Fredy Razo, sophomore Jack Sessions and
sophomore Francisco Hernandez scored goals in the game with Hernandez getting the game-winner off an assist from Razo.
Freshman Dietrich Geister was stellar in goal for the Lasers and made nine saves.
The win improved Irvine Valley's record to 14-3-2 overall and 10-2-1 in conference and kept the Lasers a point ahead of Santa Ana for first place in the OEC standings with one match to play. That match is a big one as IVC hosts Santa Ana on Friday at 3 p.m. with the conference title on the line.
