Former Laser competes in NBA summer league

Former IVC basketball player competes in NBA Summer League Former Irvine Valley men's basketball player Kashif Watson suited up with the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas recently.

Watson played in two games for the Warriors and averaged 3.0 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists.

He averaged 10.7 points and 2.1 assists per game in his senior year at the University of Idaho this past year.

Watson's older brother, C.J. Watson, has played the last three seasons for Golden State.

Watson, a 6-4 guard, averaged 13.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and shot 52.3-percent from the floor to help lead Irvine Valley to a program-record 27 wins (27-5) and to the Southern California Regional finals during the 2007-08 season.​
