Art History Survey: Western Perspective
Irvine Valley College students enrolled in Art History Surveys under that direction of Dr. Lisa Davis Allen have produced the following group projects in partial completion of course requirements. Each Fall and Spring semester students across the disciplines have come together to study specific works of art and architecture that address the developing Western canon. Each project assignment allows the students to creatively construct a presentation based on a standard set of criteria (historical context, subject and style, cultural influences, materials and processes, and available sources), and choose a series of examples which reflect the unique aesthetics of their art historical topic.
These student presentations are available for viewing by clicking on the specific academic years listed below. Inside each academic year, you will find a list of projects organized chronologically by topic. The IVC Art History Program and its students invite you to visit these presentations by clicking on each title ... ENJOY!
